Angela Adams opened Blooming Orchid Florist in 1987 with a $20,000 loan from her grandmother. Our first location was next to Imperial Furniture across the bayou from our current location.

 

As business grew, Sheri McCulla, licensed floral designer, would help on special occasions.  Jacinta Wisinger joined in 1987.  She had many roles in her 30+ years here including licensed floral designer, book keeper, delivery driver, and customer service specialist.  Angela’s sister, Cindy Pertuit, joined the team in 1988 as our Customer Service Specialist. Shortly after, Robert Adams, Angela's husband, joined the business full time. We've had many employees over the years and are proud to say that Robert, Cindy, Jacinta, and Sheri are still cherished employees at Blooming Orchid.

We moved to the current location in 1992 which has allowed for additional parking, a larger flower cooler, and a larger store. 

           

Today our staff includes five licensed floral designers, two delivery specialists, and management staff.  

On holidays and special occasions, we can count on friends, family, and former employees to assist us year after year.
